Stephanie Josch - really an AKA for DVG?

Is "Stephanie Josch" really an AKA for Debbie van Gils?

I've seen Anal Groupies and Exzesse blutjunger Krankenschwestern.

As you can see "Ramona von Brunn" and "Doris Schade" are credited in both.

The only actresses who appear in both are Debbie van Gils and Hiltrud Eder. Could it be that the two AKAs belong to this two actresses?

Could it be that "Stephanie Josch" (who is only credited in Anal Groupies) belongs to St?phanie Bahno (who only appears in Anal Groupies)?

It looks to me as if the conection between the credits and the actresses were made with the help of characters or roles they were playing withing this movies. I didn't see such character names. Where they written somewhere? Maybe on a DVD-version?

I agree entirely. I've just revisited the earlier posts and both this and
'EBK' seem a bit of a dogs' breakfast.

Removing the two aliases 'DS' and 'RvB' from EBK would leave [as I see it]
an unresolved trichotomy for the remaining three girls in that- UNLESS
one follows Herschi's [apparently] un-evidenced assignment of character-
names AND assumes V'rama/HSM's consistency in applying the same or similar
character-names as forenames to the girls. It's true that V'rama often did
give character-names as well as aliases in their credits [often with similar
or identical forenames, at that] but apparently not in the case of these two
films- so the question again arises of where H. got his info from... I have
tremendous respect for the estimable Herschi and am sure he had good reason
for his remarks- but alas, he didn't vouchsafe the reasoning behind them.

I have grave doubts about 'Silvia Dany', too- where's the provenance for this
alias? I can so far only find one title in which she even might be credited
under this name, rather than as the more frequent 'Monica/Monika ___' or [for
C Lynn] 'Barbara Takacs'.... I can see no prima facie reason why she shouldn't
have been credited as Anita Stiller or even Gabi Stadler : -)

Anyway, I've re-jigged both films' entries to reflect [what I see as] our
current state of knowledge. I am certainly not saying these are definitive
and won't stand subsequent revision, but they are now at least internally
consistent [and certainly a bit tidier!], and [more or less] keep the putative
character-names and aliases aligned.
I'd be grateful if you'd take a look, and comment.

I'll check the two movies again. Probably on the weekend.

"Stephanie Josch" is still listed as an AKA on DvG's performer-page.

'Revised revised' entry, based on new info [Gabriele].

I've also now given up trying to verify 'Silvia Dany' and have surrendered to
the inevitable.

There are a total of 5 females appear during:
Anal Groupies (Stramme Rosetten hei? entjungfert) - Teeny Exzesse 12 (1991) Videorama

Debbie van Gils appears to be credited as Stephanie Josch, and plays the part of Steffie. This in also backs up the logic behind her credit as Stephanie Josch.

During:
Exzesse Blutjunger Krankenschwestern - Maximum Perversum 19 (1991)

Debbie van Gils is credited as GABI STADLER, and plays the part of Nurse Jeny.

With respect, the credits on my copy [and, I'm assuming, DXO's] only contain
the info presently included on the pages.
I've consequently had to adopt a 'reductionist' approach in the light of various
[mutually contradictory] claims as to credits and roles, NONE of which have yet
been backed up by any hard evidence made available for all to see.

If you have such info, may we please all see it....?

I understand..

-

IAFD lists someone called: Stephanie Focker

Teeny Exzesse 12: Anal Groupies (1991)
Stephanie Focker as Doris Schade or Ramona von Brunn or Stephanie Josch

Napoli-Parigi: linea rovente 2 (1991)
Stephanie Focker as Stephanie Rey

Photos Passions (1991)
Stephanie Focker as Stephanie Focker

It's making more scene now, that Stephanie Josch could be Stephanie Focker

This bunch of films is a classic example of two major pitfalls:

1) allowing our preconceptions to guide us. How reasonable it seems, to
assume that [say] a credited 'Agnes' would tally with an actual Agnes.
It ain't necessarily so, as the Gershwins reminded us : -)

2) 'past accretion' [or 'sacred cows', if you prefer], where info has been
incorporated and widely accepted that on subsequent examination turns out
to have no basis in fact- or while possibly valid, now has no traceable and
verifiable provenance. Science is riddled with examples- which is rather the
whole point of science : -)

I've often been guilty of both. Probably will be again.
The only sure defence against errors of this sort is egafd's version of 'peer
review'.
