EGAFD and IAFD.
Say I wanna submit info or corrections on any performer, how do I do it? Start a new thread here? With any specific header in particular?

Re: Contributing info to...
A new thread is OK. Title it by film or actress name.
As much info as possible, even if it seems irrelevant : -)
Caps are good.
Including caps would be a good idea.
We like caps here....
.... did I mention caps?

(1) For IAFD, there are two basic ways (well perhaps 3) to be able to submit corrections
=performer (male/female) page, movie title page, or director.
If the correction/submission involves a female performer, hopefully she is already listed there.
If not, you have to go around it and chose a movie title, director, other perfomers who are also
in the cast.
Say for instance your correction/submission involves Sandra Romain.
You open up her filmography page
Right below her basic statistics (DOB, height, weight, etc) you will find a blue button that reads
"Submit bio corrections". Click on that
A page opens in which there is a box in which you type the kind of submission you wish to make about her
Include any links (web sites, and also for pics) that you wish to use to support your submission.
When you are finished, you type in you handle name and e-mail (which is used to IAFD editors to be
able to communicate back to you in case they need additional clarifications).
You need to type in the captcha codes and then you hit the "submit corrections"
blue button below. You will get a copy of your submission in your e-mail box, and
in next few days you will get a confirmation from IAFD as to whether your submission
has been fully accepted, or perhaps a query from them indicating that they require
additional info or clarification.
They are not mind readers and they expect you to do a lot of the leg work.
So it is up to you to include some links or some screenshots or whatever to support
your submission. If you should upload any pcs/screenshots of anything you should
use a site like Imagevenue and provide the links in your message.
(2) For EGAFD, the matter of submission is better handled through posts
in this forum, by using a new separate posting. Unless the matter in question]
was already handled in a previous post and you may wish to simply add additional information.

Re: Contributing info to...
Thanks, guys.
If I contribute here with the posts, do you think someone connected to IAFD could be tipped off and pick up the info for their own database so I don't have to contribute to both websites, especially when one, IAFD, seems to be a pain in the neck? Just asking.

Re: Contributing info to...
Well, DX One visits here regularly [mainly to correct all my boo-boos] and he
would doubtless notice.
He might take it amiss, though, at having to rejig all the info to suit iafd's
data-entry tool.
My advice is to gird the ole loins and do both- then you can bask in a rosy
glow of self-satisfaction at having Done The Right Thing : -))
[tip: do the iafd submission- links, everything- as a word-doc. and then simply
c+p it into the text-box. That way you can't lose the info in cyberspace and
you can edit the text as you go- in fact, IMO this is the best way to prepare
stuff for here as well.]

Re: Contributing info to...
There are posters here who also were/are associated with IAFD, but I believe
you will have to make a separate submission to IAFD and link your post here.
The most obvious reason is that the kind of information IAFD would be seeking
is not quite the same as EGAFD requires. For instance, for movie titles
IAFD requires date of release, director name, cast members, running time,
scene breakdown, type of sex (anal, DP, facials, etc). You need to examine a few
titles to see how the information is outlined there.
The other more "diplomatic" obvious reason is that EGAFD and IAFD essentially do not
poach on each other, and therefore you cannot expect one or the other to see what is
being posted here/there, and just plunder each other's database information.
Incidentally why do you say IAFD is a "pain in the neck"?

Re: Contributing info to...
Gotcha.
Pain in the neck as in too "complicated/red tape-like" when it comes to submitting info, as opossed to here where a post is enough. But I may have exaggerated ab it, lol.

If you mean the captcha-thingy, I agree. But I suspect it's a necessary evil.
In all, it's no harder than adding stuff here, perhaps with the proviso that
you do have to 'tailor' the info to a certain extent. Their data-entry protocols
are more rigid than egafd's, meaning that the info can be manipulated in ways
that it's hard to do here [compare the methods for a tattoo-search, for
example]- but OTOH the more free-form nature of the egafd set-up means it's
easier to add odd things like notes- and despite not being in an ideal format,
covers [a recent occasional addition you may have noticed].
