Was this taken from a VOD site? The caps of the unknowns seem much poorer
in quality than those from the better known perfs.
I would normally not bother with 'modern-era' caps as poor as those for
XNKs - although of course with 'classic' era unnowns we do very much take
what we can get : -)
Personally, I would have left this until I could get some better caps.

Yes, I took the whole film from a online source.
And I only made the caps for the sake of completness.
For Anna-Lena and Anastasia, because of their tatts and piercings.
I was never before aware that Anastasia has tatts.

About XNKs: I made the caps, because maybe someone will recognice them.

The XNK's were very hard to cap, especially the last one, She was always in
motion or in a not db-frienly position so I couldn't get even a clear
headshot, apart from the quality of the film:-)

At least: I took a look at my caps now, and I'm horrified about the quality.
The film-quality wasn't that bad. Don't know, what went wrong when capping.

Do you mean, it's not necessary to do this caps, if they don't have a good
quality? I would understand that, if the performer is well known.
But if I post a film, I want to give you the full informations,
especially for the XNKs.

There's also an issue with the aspect-ratios. I didn't adjust them as I had
hoped you might be able to provide better ones and thus save me the trouble : -).

I read it as all part of the one phrase - where a capital would be inappropriate
for 'meine'? I've re-punctuated it to match the title as I read it: "Inzest
verbot: meine....". But I accept that there are several other possible readings.
These recent DBM titles are more ike novels than titles; as a matter of fact,
I've come across several instances where, for the same film, the DBM website's
headung is entirely different to SVA's listing for it!!

Don't bother with these - makes about as much sense as listing pierced ears : -)

In this case it seems to me that the whole film is in the wrong aspect ratio (the girls seem too tall and long-faced) and that is one problem with the caps - all of them, not just the unknowns. This can be fixed (or checked) before you crop the caps, in an image processing application like Irfanview (which is free).

Without seeing the video, I don't know if the original was 4:3 like an old TV (I assume it was if the date is 2006) or widescreen (16:9).

If the original was 4:3, then the dimensions of the still image can be changed to 640 by 480, for example, or 720 by 540, which should produce a screen large enough for cropping. (For widescreen I usually go for 800 by 450.)

In Irfanview you would untick the box 'maintain aspect ratio' and enter the dimensions.

The other way would be not to crop at all and post the original screen grabs. Then we could correct the aspect ratio ourselves. With cropped images we have to guess. (Occasionally the original has a bad - or strange - aspect ratio in which case we would still have to guess, or experiment, but that's easier with the whole screen.)

I mention this in case of similar problems in the future.

Re classic vintage, personally I would say pre-1990, but it could include the early 1990s if the title was from a label which no longer exists and which therefore is unlikely to be released on DVD (or good quality VOD) so that we would have to rely on surviving VHS tapes which may be copies of copies of copies.

No; I meant I would hold off submitting the film at all until better caps were
available. This was one of the [many] points I was trying to get across to Len.

Basically 'modern' from the advent of DVD. In my view there is no excuse for
post-DVD caps not being good-to-perfect quality [depending on quality of
source, obviously - for example, look at the VTO caps I've added today;
although they're from a DVD the quality is not that good, as the films haven't
been re-mastered - but the 'classic' criterion also comes into play with these
and a diminution in quality is hence acceptable.].

I've still got all deezer's caps.
I'll wait to hear from hm before I try to rejig them - as you know, my very
least favourite chore : -)

As a test-check for you, and an example for deezer, this is a 487x830 cap
that I've resized, uncropped, to 360X540:

. .. and I've noticed another problem: the caps seem to comprise a range
of different ARs so I will have to resize them separately, by eye - with
IR Batch I get caps ranging from OK, to hall-of-mirrors : -).

I can only see one image (the first one). Is that the original or your edit?

The problem is that it was cropped before it was posted and you need a whole screen to be sure, even if the original video had a bad aspect ratio, rather than the usual problem with Power DVD and screen resolutions on the computer monitor.

If the original was the wrong aspect ratio to begin with, then if we can correct a whole screen successfully, it should enable us to work out a ratio which can be used to edit all the others. (Don't ask me to explain now. It's a while since I've done this and the maths is rusty, but it did work.)
