Please check the aspect ratio of your pictures before posting.

First there's no need to post huge pictures. 720 by 540 is plenty big enough or 800 by 450 for widescreen pictures. If the picture quality is poor in the first place then 600 by 450 is OK. (Of course some pics have to be smaller because that's all there is.) All this can be edited in the excellent - and free - Irfan View.

I've only looked at the Quinty pictures in detail because we have plenty of pictures for the rest of the cast, but they were strange. A couple of them were in the correct aspect ratio and widescreen. The larger ones were intended to be 4:3 and too tall - 720 by 580 or thereabouts.

This is a general appeal - if people can get the aspect ratio right before posting pictures it saves me time.

I've become fairly good at spotting when the aspect ratio is wrong just by looking at faces, but it takes time to get the eye for it I know. As well as heads looking too long, a clue can be when the centre of the top lip seems out of line with the nose when the model is lying at an angle to the border of the picture. If you are unsure, post a full-screen, uncropped picture (including any black borders) and I can work it out. I knew my maths would come in handy one day.

There are almost certainly pictures on this site in the wrong aspect ratio. When I rediscover them I try to correct them.

Looking again, I do see what you mean. Capping can be tricky.

I will do my best to follow your guidelines going forward.

I faced troubles like these (a/r) as well.
Once I started using the free and truly amazing "Media Player Classic" for
caping, I was free from all the struggle, honestly!

I use Media Player Classic and swear by it. !thumbsup!
