VCD's

Is the quality any good? and do they play on Mac's? Cheers

They play well on computers, raincoats are a little different :?). Sorry can't help on Macs.

They can be a little blocky on fast moving objects but on the whole they're pretty clear.It does depend who's made them and to what quality (they can be burnt on computers in a variety of ways to cram more on them, the more material the worse the picture). Macs play them, yes. Mine does, any who.

Yes, they will play on any PowerMac that has Quicktime and Apple Movie Player installed.

Run Movie Player, and then open the file that you find on the VCD in the folder MPEGAV (likely to be a file called "something.dat").

VCD files are MPEG files and are generally 320 x 240 pixels in size. Quality is variable, can be as good as VHS on good copies.

Top Tip: Even if you are running Quicktime 4, 5 or 6, get hold of a copy of the older free Apple Movie Player version 2.5, as it has a number of display and editing options which are not in the newer versions.

i play vcds on my dvd player and never had a problem.I order all my vcds from adult videos,its on the links page.
