Need some advice

Hello Everyone,
I am a new webmaster who has a online adult DVD business, i have not been in business too long and have been experiencing some difficulty already.
I have noticed that my sales are not as good as it should be for a normal webmaster. There must be a step that im skipping. I was wondering if there are any other webmasters in the forum that can give me some advice?.

Where is your site? that would help for a start.....it takes time to build a reliable business...so just hang in there...but lets take a look at your site if you want help and advice.

...as STRAND said,it takes time to build up clients and for you to get known.
If your a giant corporation like some broadcasters,newspapers or food manufactures,then your in with a chance from day one...
Lesser mortals-it might take a little longer!

I suggest that you are probably not doing anything wrong, it's just that sales of adult videos, DVD's and such like are just not happening at the moment (unless you are a mega-well known American site) and the situation is unlikely to improve in the foreseeable future. If you've fallen for the media hype and the urban legends of pornographers earning millions, I'm afraid you're 15-20 years late. But it's still an absorbing hobby if nothing else.

Thanks for all your help, i would post the URL on this site but i don't want to disrespect the webmaster of this site, i do know the hard work that goes in to building and running a site.
You are right, i did have the thought of earning "easy money" through the porn world. On my site, i started with DVDs, then went to selling books, then added a message board. When i found that those tools were not working, i added a free page where you can obtain free pics and vids (which is the biggest mistake i have made!).
I tried dropping my DVD sales to $25/US with free shipping, but still nothing. I guess its back to the drawing board for me
But, i would like to thank you all for taking the time to respond!...plus i need to get rid of my stock that i foolishly bought, give me a shout if you want any DVDs that i desperately need to get rid of!.lol!!
