I might sound a mite tetchy but if people are going to use this to promote themselves etc. they really ought to learn how to post clickable links.
Why should I be arsed if they can't?

You'll never eradicate it as every board/forum is different

I bet I'm breaking the same rules on other sites without even knowing it
because I couldn't be bothered to read the FAQs

Afterall Copy & Pasting isn't that time consuming

Oops, I could at least have helped them along the way

From the FAQs....3.3 What formatting options can I use in my messages?
The easiest way to create clickable links is by placing web addresses inside a pair of angle brackets, thus: This will appear as http://www.bgafd.co.uk

Bugger, serves me right for trying to be a smart-arse. And to think that I usually preview before posting. Of course, the mods. example works so the brackets didn't appear when I did a copy and paste.

Back to square one....Put your url, including the http bit inside brackets..
.
Better still read the FFAQ.

So much to see...so little time...reading comes a sad last and it always will

Which is why I said "banging your head against a brickwall ain't smart"

This is the only board I know that doesn't automatically make anything beginning with http a clickable link. If you post on many boards you just forget the sometimes. Plus there's no way to edit/delete a post, once it's posted it's final.

Its a lesson to us all to think twice before posting anything, or sending an email.
There's a saying in carpentry "Measure twice, cut once".

Just as the BGAFDs main page "who's that girl, repeat postings" proved, you can make improvements to the nth degree but there will always be one or 2 that miss them for what ever reason

Feel free to join the frustrated perfectionists group...the other hot topic of discussion is posters who post out of sequence...could cause the implosion of one female dictator...so I've heard on the grapevine
