Strictly Broadband Ltd. and Private Media Group Inc. sign an agreement to offer Private's adult movies online to Strictly Broadband Customers

The agreement allows Strictly Broadband to offer a wide selection of Private titles for online rental by broadband Internet users

10 June 2005: Strictly Broadband Ltd. (London, UK) and Private Media Group Inc. (Barcelona, Spain) announced the signing of an agreement that will allow Strictly Broadband to feature a selection of Private's titles on its broadband adult movie service. The agreement covers a selection of Private's back catalogue. Each title will be made available to Strictly Broadband users for unlimited viewing during a three day rental period, at a rental cost from ?5.99 per movie.

The movies will be encoded and streamed to provide users with instant full-screen viewing, chapter selection and the ability the fast-forward and rewind movies without the need to download files before playing. Digital Rights Management technology will be deployed to prevent piracy.

Private movies will start to appear on Strictly Broadband from mid-June.

I must say, Im finding this site a bit addictive. It's perfect for the likes of me who is cautious before making a purchase, especially as adult DVDs can sometime be expensive. If I like a film enough, I'll go and buy it properly. Keep up the good work!

I'm never sure if this kind thing is going to catch on. Paying ?6.99 for a 3-night rental, seems steep. Unlike most mainstream films, you tend to revisit favourite porn time and again, at least I do. So what's the attraction for punters to use a streaming service of non-exclusive films? If it's a try before you buy thing, quite few sites selling dvds now have sample clips so you can dip your toe in the porno water. I just don't get it.

A serious question to you: if ?6.99 for 3 days isn't your thing (and it seems to work for many), what package would you consider paying for?

Hi Some of titles have never been released on DVD,video or anywhere else, for example Gang Bang Club2/The Second Meeting & First Time.

Although I would always try to make sure the title I selected was a lengthy one (oo er) to ensure good VFM, I think ?6.99 is a good deal. As much I like this stuff, I'll never bring myself to pay top whack for it. Hence, the appeal of strictly broadband.
