Are these rates reasonable?

OK, I just got an email from a model I've approached to do some work for me. I've mainly worked with amateurs on this kind of material previously so I'm not up on the going rates for b/g etc at the moment. See what you make of this...

"Soft girl/girl ?100
Hard girl/girl ?120
Soft boy/girl ?140
Hard boy/girl ?180
Group + ?250

All the above rates are per hour for stills. For video work please add ?10 per hour.

If you require a model release form signing then please add the price of one hour.

Minimum two hours booking but my daily rate for a full six hour day is five
times the hourly rate so book me for a day and get an hour of my modelling time for FREE!"

"Thanks but no thanks" would be my reply.

or "Piss off"

Never pay for a release, ever. She probably had her head filled with bullshit by some time for prints wanker.

There are plenty of decent models. most hang around here, who'll do you a job for a realistic rate.

LOL...No they're not.
Generally you should be looking to pay girls around ?300-?350 for a hardcore boy girl scene or ?200-?250 for a hard girl girl scene obviously dependant on content within the scene

They're a joke ... especially the "add an extra hour's rate" for a model release.

At least you can get the hour FREE if you pay for 5 ... on a b/g with model release it would only cost you ?1140 for the day, must be a bargain if she says so.

I hope she's a of Super Model calibre with those rates.

Bloody hell she works out to be more pricey than even the very top European porn stars, where the hell does she get these rates from and who's paying?

She's probably a munter anyway!

I agree with Tequila on this as the rates above are about the going rate, as i only work with amateurs i don't sign model releases so this should be left to the videographer & model to agree on.
As for group i don't think its worth not getting out of bed for less than ?300 an hr (min 2hrs) but lots of new models will.
Also like Tequila said it depends on the contents e.g. i would charge extra for water-sports, d.p or air locking.
So guys if you think a models rates are too high shop around or if its a special model you want club together etc on the cost, another thing to remember is that new unseen models with a good head on their shoulders can charge more at first.

Heh, thanks everyone. I kinda knew she was wanting way too much - just wanted some backup :D She is not a supermodel by any means. I'll tell her to do one.

When you say a "scene" how long are you talking, & how many scenes would you expect to shoot in a 6 hour day?

Tricky one and I reckon she's being a twat for stating that a working day is six hours. Surely you as "Customer" in this transaction will be the judge of that? If you're filming and after five hours and fifty nine minutes you're still not done is that it because she says so?

That's another reason I love working in Europe and dread shooting here because I've never been asked by a European model, "What time will we be finished? " "How long will this take?" and all that grief. It will take as long as it takes!!

In the real world ?250 or ?300 for a day's work is great, I know top city trader boys who earn nothing like that, far less. These people need to get real and stop wasting everyone's time.

Yeah,to right. I'd be expecting Silvia Saint herself if I were paying that kind of dough. But I'll wager that the 'model' in question is more likely to be a skinny blonde minger, with a crap non-hairstyle, plastic tits and tattoos, displaying all the feminine grace and allure that one would expect of the 21st century 'social housing' tenant.

Officer Dibble - doesn?t mind paying for quality

I would say - fuck 'scenes'. When you book a model you book her for the day or the afternoon. It's then up to you to fit in whatever video scenes and still sessions you require for your project (paying due regard to the pre- agreed level of work - i.e., solo, G/G, BG).
