Hi
I'm new to the adult game and I'm setting up my own website but I'm finding it hard getting a Merchant Account that allows adult content / entertainment.

Any tips would be gratefully received.

xx

You won't find anyone who will give you your own merchant account for adult (if you do let me know who they are lol!) but best to use a payment processor like CCBill, Verotel or Paycom. You have to pay 15-16% for the privilege but really is the only way to go.

My mate runs a sex shop and has merchent services and uses it on his site to buy dongs and films, so why wouldnt you be able to use it for membership as well, should be start doing that ?

Cenobitz... Merchant accts are for a min of ?5k a month and not suitable for new pay sites :(

CCBill: are the main processors wm's in the UK use but.. Paycom are coming up fast in the EU/UK as they accept out Switch and Solo debit cards

Corrine... Email me for contacts at both companies.. They both have great sales teams who will give you a lot of help. I would avoid Verotel and go for one or both of these two...

Thanks guys for your replies.

To be honest I'm a little confused now...LOL must be a my blonde coming out.

I've done the Paypal and NOCHEX thing and have been kicked off both of them.

All I want to do is sell my own DVDs, so is ccbill the best way for me to go?

Selling Dvd's is a totally different story...

I can then recommend another cc processor who offer a shopping cart as part of their system, free of charge. If you go to I use the cart there.

Whar sort of turn over to you expect to do.. The only way you can get what you want is to have your own merchantr acct., and you will need to have a turnover of at least ?5k a month for that.

If you are just starting from scratch.. ClearCard is the only one and so no debit cards..
