Two thoughts:

(1) Perhaps we should all kick in a few quid to a charity like breast cancer, or something similar. Bob can be the stakeholder (or anyone else trustworthy for that matter)

(2) In light of recent posts/revelations, perhaps there should be a formal register of pgotographers/videographers whereby models will know who they are visiting. Naturally, these guys would have to be checked out for authenticity. Anyone not on the register - girls visit at their own risk.

I think the register is a good idea.

Its not a matter of behaving like an amateur, Professionals may act like it too, because I understand that is what this guy was. Its more like acting like a criminal who uses photography has an excuse to prey on his victims. Models are more prone to these attacks by these people because of the nature of their work. Models have a right to work and earn a living in a safe and secure environment just like everybody else. Anything that helps promote this I am all for it and the sooner the better. Gary

if such a list was created perhaps the perfect place for it would be in the models forum. an idea for list qualification could be recomendation by at least 2 models but no doubt there will be some law dateing back to 1916 that says if you have a trustworthy list and un trustworthy people find their way on it then you shall be taken to the tower and forced to watch re runs of trisha.

The database list would only be a guide for the Models to say that Photographers are Ok to work with. But at the end of the day it is still uo to the model who they work with. Sure the odd one will fall through the net but they do in every walk of life. I see the problem when a new photographer would like to be added to the list he will need two model references but he will not be able to work with models without being on the list. Catch 22 you can't get a job without experience and you can't get experience without a job,

If said list contained ANYTHING bad, or anything bad was said against someone, without proof, you would be sued into the next ice age, so you would be unable to,

If the list contained anything more the phone book does, it would need to be Data Protection Registered, or you can be fined or goto jail.

Who died and gave the keeper the right to do that ? thats always the problem, Lets say OEJ was the keeper of the books, then i was to say make a racist slurr against him, and do his missus in an uncomfortable place, and molest his dog while his mum watched, what would be stopping him from taking revenge ?

You would end up be tarred to hell and back for trying to run it...

What could be done is a list of Verified Photographers, where by OEJ, Joe whoever says "I have worked with X person and they was sound" but then who would want to do that incase it went pear shaped ?

The Producers forum would be a bad place to keep it, as the list is for producers mainly not models
