To establish my credentials for this thead:

Paramount International was THE premier glamour model agency in the UK for many years and featured on national TV twice. and I have been in the biz for something over 20 yrs.
- So at least, I know what I am talking about.

One time -long ago - I suggested to the clique of glamour photogs who sold to magazines that it would be a good idea to have a register of who had shot whom and for what - thus avoiding snappers wasting their money on assumptions. It was greeted with great enthusiasm! However, few conformed because they suddenly came across a newbie and wanted to keep her all to themsdelves. - Incredible , but true.

At this time, model agencies were required to be licensed under the Employment Agencies Act. This was a good thing as it prohibited the freaks.
However, for some strange reason, the Govt - in their infinate wisdom -!!!-decided to "de-control" model agencies, thus giving rise to any Tom, Dick & Harry who decided to call him/her self a model agent.

Hence the rise of the freaks.

A lady friend of mine has just left after suffering the Rt.Hon JW and his allies, during which time she told me a horror story. _ No shit.
I will put the matter right tomorrow, but all I am saying is that it should not be necessary.

The last time I suggested some kind of register, I was taken to task.
Just might be time to think again. If one has nothing to hide, then one has nothing to be afraid of.

My issue is WHO gets to play god ?

Lets say its YOU, whats stopping me calling you a twat and doing ya sister in an uncomfotable place, then running your cat over, then you as the man with the strings fucking my careeer up ?

Whats stopping me assuming i was faye's best buddy in the world, saying to faye, look faye, this guy called Terry is being a dick with me, report him to marcus as being a pervert, and see if anyone else u know will do the same.

The only way this could work is IF someone went WHOLE hog with it, and did Criminal Record checks, wrote to the persons references, contacted all the models by letter or phone, registered with the Data Protection Agency, and ACCEPTED responsibility for their information and the consequences of that information, as NO ONE would pay for a service unless it was water tight and guaranteed the info.

I have no problem, saying who i know, who i have worked with, and who i have issues with, anyone who knows me will know i dont care what people think, i say my bit, i do what i do and then i leave it, i dont hold grudges nor i do i harber ill feelings, but others DO.

Requires a lot of time & effort and quite frankly my heart is not in it anymore.
