r18dvdshop problems

Has anyone else had trouble with www.r18dvdshop.co.uk?

When I check my order, they were all too happy to take my money very quickly, but that happened 4 days ago and the order still hasn't been dispatched.

Also emailed them to ask what was going on. That was 2 days ago. Still no response. Anyone else had trouble with them?

It is Xmas remember, the order is probably still in a sorting office somewhere.

Well, 10 days after payment was taken, the order status is still the same. It hasn't been despatched.

I have emailed them and recieved no response. This was days ago. My advice? DO NOT USE www.r18dvdshop.co.uk. They are unrteliable and steal your money and don't give you your product.

Anyone know what I can do about this?

Theu are usually very reliable. I really do think its because its been Xmas. Iv been waiting on stuff that was posted to me over a week ago...Im waitin til 3rd or 4th january when the post is back to normal before i start accusing people of not sending it and the like lol

Tequila's right.

R18dvdshop was taken over by Simply The Best and they always guarantee delivery, whether it gets lost in the post or any other reason.

The downside to it being taken over is that the delivery times have gone up from the initial 1-2 working days to 10-14, which along with the price was the major attraction of that site (and the reason why I don't order from there anymore).

Remember two other things. The Xmas post backlog and the fact that like alot of other people they maybe on holiday.

That is outrageous. I've never heard anything like it. How could r18 shop be so inconsiderate? How could they not give up their whole Xmas for your ?15.00 DVD? What is the friggin' world coming to, hey?

Hmm, now don't you think that might be a trifle irrational and premature? Have you never heard of the golden rule of mail order "Please allow 28 days for delivery"?

Yes. You should shut up, stop being a loon, and just chill out with an alcoholic beverage - just like all us normal folks do at Crimbo. Then, if you haven?t heard anything by the 14th of Jan you might be justified in increasing your alert status to 'amber'? Jeez.

The feedback mentions a few reasons for delivery delays even without the x-mas mail crush which can never be underestimated.

I received a letter yesterday that was delivered 10 days prior.Normally it takes 2 days,so the delivery time for a parcel/package would be more again



When its all said and done its best to avoid buying items you want quickly during December

I've got no problem with all of the above. I didn't know they had been taken over. I had read good stuff about them on here, ie the 1 or 2 day delivery times, so I ordered ith them.

I appreciate it's Christmas, but I don't know how many staf they have do I? If it's a one man band, then put a notice on the front page saying very long delays due over Christmas due to post (which we know about) and other factors (which would be code for "It's only me running it and frankly I want to spend at least a week in a drunken stupor!")

If it said that, I would pipe down and be quiet. But, even with Christmas delays, considerring they have that reputation of 1 or 2 day deliveries, was it unreasonable to expect it to arrive pre-Christmas? (orderred on 16th and I didn't know they had changed hands). I don't think so. I now stand corrected, with knowledge I didn't have as I am not a porn industry insider. hence why there should be a notice at the top of every page of their website

Bit odd watching porn at christmas isn't it? Don't you like the Two Ronnies??!!! Only joking lad....

Give 'em a chance, they may have to order it in themselves in which case they maybe waiting for stock to be delivered to them before they can send it out to their customers.

Lesson 1, don't order mucky dvds at christmas! On the other hand your postie might be copying it!!

When I first started ordering from them it was order one day,on your doormat next day.Since its been taken over it is minimum 10 days.
