I know, it's pathetic isn't it. The annoying thing is that they take us for idiots, pretending to be estaticlly happy punters of whatver site they're promoting. Of course it's in P R Mann's nature to promote himself and his well cushty clients, but he does gives a bit of credit to forumites and makes no bones about the fact that he is promoting something that he, and he asumes forumites, have some kind of interest in.
