BGAFD Event 2: You Must Read This

Some moron went into the Blues Bar and Bistro very recently and asked for tickets to the BGAFD Event 2. As a result I have just had a telephone call from the Bar cancelling my booking for the BGAFD Event on 4th January. Apparently they don?t like people asking them for tickets and think I am selling them to anyone. I explained that they are only for contributors to the forum and that the cost of the ?tickets? was to cover the hire costs etc but that did not placate them. They then went on to say that they?d heard that we were hardcore porn actresses (they already knew that!) and that we?d be making a video there and that they didn?t want to be associated with either. So NO party there! (Their e-mail address is info@bluesbistro.com should you wish to make your views known. [Polite and reasoned please!])

So, some idiot(s) has messed it up for all of us. All is not lost though as Rebekah, Sandie, Marcus and I are desperately seeking another venue for the same date. I?ll let you know how we get on but I am hopeful we?ll be able to find somewhere.

I?m sorry to have let you down,

Wendy (very cross and upset)

PS. Those who have tickets hang onto to them. If the Event doesn?t take place you?ll be refunded. Those that have ordered tickets I won?t cash your cheques until a new venue has been confirmed

sorry to hear that, Wendy.
I'm sure you have other places in mind, but one that we liked was a tapas bar where the semis of the erotic awards were held. Its just near the guildhall. The web addy is ...... I don't know them, but I don't expect they'll have a problem with the bgafd as the erotic performances were pretty hot !

Finding bars, pubs etc to hold 'adult' social events is a real pain..... we have the same problem when sally organises her member's socials..... you'd have thought they'd welcome the business !!

best of luck finding somewhere.

Sorry to hear this Wendy, some people just can't follow simple instructions, apply through Wendy's e-mail, full stop end of story.
I'll ask around and see if i come up with anything. Meantime good luck.

Kryten.

Sorry that it might not come off, but don't blame yourself and don't apologise for one moment that 'you let us down' We all appreciate your sterling efforts organising this bash and rallying around to get the girlies to attend, and you should take heart that we fully acknowledge your hard work.
Just because some nosher couldn't follow simple instructions, we all have to suffer, so don't feel you came up short. Far from it Wendy, if not for you, these 'get togethers' would be confined to this forum.
I am positive an alternative venue will be found and this is merely a blip. In the meantime, pour yourself a drink and keep your chin up!

The world is full of stupid bastards - ain't it the truth! Just like to echo the wise words of Ace - Wendy has put in the effort to organise the events and apologies are definitely not required. Thanks for all the work Wendy - and hope you find a new venue.

On the bright side

I suppose its better that the fools at this place pull the plug now than do something on the night like call the pigs for a bit of 'Indecent behaviour'otherwise known as Adults enjoying themselves.Moralising idiots.

Good luck with finding a replacement venue.
Would be a shame to see the whole event skittled after so much effort put in by Wendy & Co...again!!!!

Maybe the date should be changed to allow a suitable 'Adult Venue' to be found.Maybe Valentines day would be a good date.

cheers
