HDV advice please

I've had a 3ccd video camera for a couple of years.
But am now looking to upgrade to high definition.

What's the current flavour of the month for pros and semi-pros alike ? !sherlock!
All considered opinion very welcome. Thanks

I hear the Sony FX1s are very good. Jims been using one on student house and says its the dogs doo dahs!

Wait!!!!!!

Canon are bring out two new HDV cams:

The XH A1 and AX G1

Sony are also releasing a new HDV cam.

All should be out around now to december.

The HDR FX1 is a really nice HD camera, we have a couple of these.

You can get some pretty good deals on these now as newer models are released.

Sony are bring out the HDR-FX7E an updated/cut down version of the HDR FX1.

I have got a Sony Z1. We have broadcast off it in DVCAM mode, the HDV mode is brilliant!
