Hi I have done quite a few shoots in the past years and was wondering what sort of size of memberships do the big UK based porn sites have at one time, how many members and is there any money to be made, i have done dozens of shoots which i have model release for , and would it be worth putting them on a website ?
Whos good at hosting adult style sites and whos best to use for subsciptions etc.
I am currently completing a dreamweaver web design course and would love to get some of my stuff on the web and make some money !

It's all in the marketing. The basic site costs are low IF you can handle the tech stuff - I run mine on a standard basic hosting account.

To make money you need content worth paying for - which means some kind of theme, and then promote hard.

An affiliate program is good - there are people out there who join APs and them promote the sites like hell to get their commisisons, (which are up to 70% of signups now).

And you need regular updates - weekly if possible, but certainly a couple a month.

Hi Paul , without odviously wanting to sound too nosey , is it worth all the effort ? ... am a fully freelanced sports photographer , have done some private glamour work and yes , run two websites selling my work .

I already have a great domain name for the adult industry and am prepared to put in the hours and pay the models top money , leading question IS will I see a good return on my investment ? am wanting to make 30k plus in the first year is this realistic .... odviously no one is prepared to say just how much money they are making but need some input .

The other way is for me to make good videos and sell them to someone like strickly broadband , is this viable .... ?

I'm sure Jerry at SBB would be the first to tell you, selling your stuff through them is only one outlet you should choose, as their commission is quite high.

Thanks for that Andy , yes so I gather and its a win-win situation for all , am only really interested in the production side , so leaving the marketing to the guys at SBB makes sense . Will be speaking to them within the next week as I have a shoot planned for second / third week in Feb ...should be good !

what sort of money do they pay on a G/B shoot or is it comission ?
and what sort of money do they pay for each download of your movie and what sort of figures of people download the movies ?
