can anyone offer me any advice. ive asked my webmaster about streaming live stuff from my webcam for my site (when its up!). It wont just be typical solo girl webcam. it will be a minimum of b/g and even group stuff.
He says this is treading on the toes of the british broadcasting people (i dont mean the bbc either) and its not legit from this country.
does anyone know if this is genuinly the case and if it is how u can get around it???

I don't think it has anything to do with the BBFC (how can they classify streaming live video?)
It could have something to do with the VRA (I am thinking of the amendment to the VRA

Does streaming data constitute a device capable of storing data?
Actually, if no data is stored then you have no product.
I suppose it would then fall onto the ISP. If someone complains to the ISP then they might take it off.
Ways round I suppose would be to get a foreign server.

Well I have to say there are not a few British websites doing B/G and Group streaming stuff so either they found a way around it or its a bit hush hush. So all the best Sandie I'm sure we'd all love to see that!!

Why not ask...
In fact a certain Coventry-based site used to do it (but don't now). And I know you have been in contact with them -

what i mean is a live performance cant be bbfc'd but its still classed as hardcore XXX footage. it therefore goes against british broadcasting standards (not sure exactly which governing body it would upset but u know what i mean).
