Extras needed for May 29th nr Gatwick. Extras=SA!

Those of you who've been following my adventures in porn via these forums and perhaps ETO magazine (part two of my story coming in the June issue) will know I'm having fun. Quite stressful fun, but fun nevertheless. So I thought it'd be good to share the fun...

I'm shooting here, near Gatwick, on the afternoon of the 29th of May. As a plane empty except for the performers (Kaz B and her guy JJ plus Goddess Qing confirmed so far. Several other top names in the frame) will look weird, I need 20-30 people who'll behave themselves and not look right at the camera like an idiot. They will be Supporting Artists only and WILL NOT have any interaction with the stars. However, you will be able to say you've been in a porn film and boast to your mates. :)

I need a mix of men and women, all ages (18+ of course!) who are happy to show their face on an adult DVD and provide two forms of photo ID showing date of birth. You'll be photographed with this and fill in a model release before being allowed onto set. Once there, you need to follow instructions. The location is very expensive to hire (by the hour) so any trouble will be dealt with swiftly - by which I mean anyone unable or unwilling to follow instructions will be gently and carefully removed from the plane by big security men. It's for the greater good!

I'm not paying my extras or their travel costs - however, nor am I charging to be on set. ;-)

If you're interested, please email me via snapsandbytes@aol.com with your name, general location in the UK, age, confirm you have two forms of photo ID with DOB on it (passport and driver's licence are best) and are happy to have copies taken of them, along with filling in a model release, and IMPORTANTLY, a recent photo of your face! All applications are confidential and your details will not be passed on or used by anyone but me, for the purposes of selecting a suitable cross-section of people.

Costume will not be supplied, so I'm looking for a selection of people in business suits and holiday attire. Jeans and a (t)shirt are also fine.

Any questions here, or to the same address please. :-)

Paul

Latest news: I just spoke to Suzie Best and she's agreed to join Goddess Qing, Kaz B and her guy JJ on the plane. I have another couple of performers to confirm, but you have to admit that's no bad line-up so far :)

Keep the emails coming to snapsandbytes@aol.com

More news: Still need some more bodies - please get in touch if you're keen to get into the movies ;)

Also, I've just signed ladies' favourite Jay as my other stud on the plane. Star of over 180 films in the last year, he's a performer in great demand who's worked with Tanya Hyde and lots of other big names. It's a real result to get him for my film. :D

Hi Keith

I'm not a proper production company, I'm a bloke with a camcorder. Feel free to read some of my other posts about this project to learn a bit more about it.

It was a joke. Well spotted. Ironically, I probably could charge people, but as I don't want too many slavering porn fiends (now that's mocking people) coming along, I decided it'd be better not to.

Yes, the location has confirmed they have public liability insurance. It's regularly used for video and stills shooting, so it'd be rather reckless of them not to.

Thanks for your interest.

Paul

That's simple - I wanted people who were happy to do me a favour to come along. If you charge for something, those who pay for it expect value for money and the performers will be putting a show on for the cameras, not the extras. While I expect to make some money from the film I'm not into profiteering and even though the location costs ?200+VAT per hour(!), charging supporting artists when I have family and friends coming to watch for free, would seem like taking the pee to me.

I'm not convinced Public Liability insurance is actually the issue here.

Bit of a hobby horse of mine, and whilst I know that the industry in the main ignores the whole subject, the issues and the pitfalls apply equally to both pros and amateurs.
