Injured! Help!!!

I've taken a fall and strained a ligament in my right foot (the tibialis posterior, if anyone's interested).

On top of having to cancel today's shoot at the last minute (which I hate doing), I need to take it easy on the rushing around for the next couple of weeks. The doctor I spoke to said that if I don't, I could do some more serious damage to myself.

As not working is not an option, I will need to shoot from home for a fortnight.

As most of you know, I'm based in Preston, Lancs. (easily accessible from the M6 and literally two minutes' walk from the train station), I have a very nice 2-bed apartment and some basic lighting gear, I have a huge wardrobe, and I work up to adult levels.

Of course, I will be as hard-working as ever (although I might moan a bit ), and by way of a thank you to anyone who is willing to help me out in this, I'll do a half-day for ?100 and a whole day for ?150 (stills only, video ?170 half-day, ?220 for a full day).

Please get in touch!

Thanks,
Emily

Hope you're back to full fitness soon, and that you get plenty of work in the meantime.

(As I'm not a tog and cannot help in that respect, consider this a bump up the list).

I fell down the last three stairs of the flight up to my apartment this morning, and landed on my foot in such a way that caused it to hyperextend.

Ouch.

I blame my cat.

Wasn't being weird Emily, I'm studying physiotherapy that's all!

Can't add anything casualty didn't tell you really. When you're better, get your gait tested to make sure your arches aren't weak, or you over-pronate slightly.

Get well soon.

I have done similar, with my hand, only i broke lunate, scaphoid and damaged soft tissue and stuff.

Sucky injury, you will prob find a bag of ice, wrapped in a towel, so its cool not cold will help ALOT, also Ibuprofen did nothing for me, Diclofenac was better, and Methylmorphine was a life saver, ask ur doctor for them.

Because it was my right hand, and resting it wasnt really an option for me, I have permenant life long soft tissue damage, so be careful you don't mess it up for ever.

Thanks for the advice.

I should probably point out that I'm not in a cast and there is no visible swelling or trauma - I just can't drive 'cause it hurts!

And the high heel boots will be out of the question for quite a while.

No, they won't.

The reason why I'm shooting from home for the next couple of weeks is that it allows me to minimise stress on my foot - I can wear heels for short periods of time, and remove them between sets. Okay, I'm not really supposed to, but I can't afford not to work, and I can't see an awful lot of people flocking to book a model who can't wear heels - especially since most of the work I do is fetish-related.

It'll hurt a bit, but it's better than going hungry.
