Hi everybody

Just to let you know the shoot we had planned to do today has been cancelled as the model didn't turn up

I talked to her on the phone in the morning to make sure everything was ok and that she was coming

I got a message from her saying that she was going to be a hour late but would be there by 1pm then I got another message half a hour later saying that she would not be there till after 2pm

I called her and she told me that she was coming and would be in Hull for 2pm,

At 1.45pm when I tried to call her to see where she was her phone was off!

I tried calling her another couple of times up to 2.30pm but still her phone was off

So a day wasted, a cameraman wage which I have had to pay and a venue which as also had to be paid for

Nightmare and a big let down

Hope the model next weekend turns up

Can only feel sorry for you.

Ive had this happen a few times and it gets very frustrating.

I would say name and shame, but we all know that opens another trap door.

Best of luck next week.

I read somewhere that Whistler only painted his mother because the model that he booked didn't turn up. Since that's the painting he's most famous for, you have to put it down to fate and move on...

Ignore me after a good lunch !hic!

Phew - thought you were going to suggest that asking your Mum to stand in for a no-show model would be a good idea... !shocked!

!laugh! Nice one, RGB.

Playing devil's advocate here, perhaps there was a good reason for the no-show---something so urgent she couldn't let you know.

!hmmm! It might be taking granny sex a bit far - she's 84, bless her!

Whistler's mum was one hot bitch, though...

Just to let you all know it was me James booked for this shoot!

Now, to put my side of this story accross instead of me being bad mouthed, it took me 5 and a half hours to get to Hull, i kept james upto date as much as i could but someone at nottingham train station dropped a big bollock, as i was given the wrong information about what time my connections were and where!

I explained to you whilst i was in sheffield that this had happened, and that my battery was also low!

I've NEVER not shown up for a shoot, and i STILL turned up at 2:04 this afternoon in hull!!!! i waited over an hour, but you didn't even bother turning up!

Now, to say you've had out of pocket expenses isn't fair, as i'm well over ?100 out of pocket and i didn't even get home til gone 8pm!

So next time someone posts a thread like this, just remember, there's ALWAYS two sides to every story!

If anyone wants to check that i arrived in hull, go ask the guy in smiths with the long hair about me!
