How about a group of members combining to offer a reward for the original copy which we could distribute between members. I would put ?50 in to the hat in memory of the lovely Mary Millington, the Emily Pankhurst of breaking the bastion of silly censorship in the UK.I treasure a signed photo she gave me, and kick myself I did not know her mental ordeal at the end. Any other fans out their in their forties or fifties now, and older no doubt! If we could raise ?500 or ?1k perhaps it will appear. Can any member duplicate it and what copyright would there be?

No Chance pal!!!!!! CPWM was a shite film. There is 'rumoured' to be a 1st generation original that Joe King raised recently. I heard that David Sullivan has the ONLY copy of it in his Safety Deposit Box, but chances are it doesnt exist, even if it did, the sex scenes would be of the genre of the time, pretty tame by todays standards.

Incidently, an original film poster for CPWM recently went for ?700, so do you REALLY think ?1000 would secure this film?

I went out with a model who apperaed in another film for DS at around the same time and this was generally released. There were two versions.. Soft for the UK and hard for the rest of the world so I'm sure that CPWM is out there somewhere in a hardcore version. DS's films were shown at the Moulon (I think) cinema in Windmill Street all those years ago..

Also he printed stills from his films in his magazines to promote/advertise them and this caused the model I knew a lot of problems. As the pics were stills from the film, no separate model release was needed and her model agency threw her out for appearing in a, at the time, hardcore magazine.

I should have kept all those Whitehouse etc. mags from those days and maybe made a few bob from them today at an auction.. I wonder if Bonham's or Sotherby's would have taken them on for one of their book sales..LOL
