O/T Vague Sense of Discomfort

First, I'll thank you in advance for bearing with me on this one.
After three months of geeking, trawling and placing some infrequent and on occasion dull as ditchwater posts; gaping in wide eyed wonder at the rigid etiquette of the whole thing. I've decided to call it quits. I was drawn here by a need to understand the psychology of why people fuck on film and why so many people want to watch it (at times even obsess about it to a point that could be defined as unhealthy).
This forum has in some ways for me defined the meaning of the word 'community',a place where people seek like minded souls to express a strong opinion. That can only be a positive thing, I thank everyone who has made me laugh like a drain when I've read their posts. It's happened a lot in the last twelve weeks and for that I'm always grateful. Special thanks to Ace for giving me the opertunity to judge things for myself, and to Phil for his polite and reasoned response to my sometimes bigoted worldview. Apologies Phil, that I felt the need to express this in the public domain.
Some may think the opinions I'm about to express negative, but I'd like to state for the record that I vocalise them here because deep down I think they work towards the good. They may keep people who fuck on film for a living fit and healthy.
My notivation is in no way to 'monkeywrench' or 'irritate', I really feel some porn folk, both consumers, producers and fans live in complete denial of the true facts. We all depend on an element of freedom of speech to thrive, and I hope this message evidences this, given that it represents a veiw from the margins that I think should be heard. I labour under the illusion that the majority of porn consumers, don't want to put off by facing the grim spectre of death just as they reach the vingear stroke. I may be wrong, but deep down I know I speak the truth.
Firstly I've had a road to Damascus moment in some respects, over the short time I've been looking in; especially in relation to the standing of women in the industry. The posts from Sandie, Layla, Autumn et al, have at least taught me that in the past I've been guilty of bigotry, especially given my predispostion to mouth off from a basis of deeply uninformed opinion.
Still I think the following points need to be made. Indeed I'm willing to use my real name and give a legit e-mail address to prove that my motives are true. I make just five points, mostly adressed to performers, but veiwers may wish to take note, at least if they really care for their VHS objects of desire.
1) The industry practice of asking for evidence of a current HIV test before getting naked is highly commendable; but sadly it's almost as much use as a chocolate teapot when it comes to preventing disease transmission. Unless you are having DNA HIV testing, as rare as a Dodo's egg in UK STD clinics, you are not safe. It's sad but true, but you may as well keep your fingers crossed during sex scenes, because that's just as effective as a method of preventing HIV, as carrying a piece of paper that promises the world but offers nothing in real terms. Phone your local STD clinc, ask for information about the 'window period' in relation to HIV testing and they'll give you the details.
2) If you haven't had the three jabs which give immunity for Hepatitis B you either have a death wish or you have been badly advised. Ask at your local STD clinc.
3) Anal to Mouth? Think about it.
4) The staff at your local STD clinic see behaviour from the general public that makes a Max Hardcore video look like a Electric Blue tape. Be shameless about what you do for a living, not only won't they judge, people like me who work there will think it's a positive alternative to long shifts and low pay.
I realise this post has dragged, if you're still listening then I'm grateful. For an indication of how far I've travelled, how grateful I am for all your help, you could look at an article I write a few years ago on my noe deceased website. I was wrong, badly wrong, and I thank you all for showinh me this.
Thanks for everything
