I reckon its just that people don't want to pay for locations. Hotel shoots tend to be Travel Lodge (cheapest option) and no-one goes for the upmarket look, as a good location can be ?600/day.

There are location resources for the film industry, but they are willing to pay the going rate.

We use www.shootfactory.co.uk for locations. They are happy with our glamour work. About ?600 - ?1000 a day but some amazing locations

I think some of these top notch locations you refer to would frown about the fact a girl being dp'ed and spunk flying everywhere.

The cheaper option would be to build sets in a studio.

However, if you were a member of UKAP you could access and add to our resources section.

I shot in a huge mansion and a wild west town in kent for www.myprivatedance.com (apparently Johnny Depp shot somethig there for some upcoming western the owner told me...So yes, there are plenty places. The big togs know most of the best places Paul, so ask around...Like jeff Kaine. Steve Colby but again take note, some of these places dont like ful on hard core

Its just as easy to source your own.

I network with people who have penthouses, jacuzzis, industrial plants, sports cars and garages etc, the girls often know people too. Every night club I work in or go to I speak to people about using the club for shoots and stuff, not to mention a variety of studios and hotels as well.

You also have models like Daisy Rock who have their own lil shooting building aswell, avalon knows (or used to) someone with a pretty big boat, theres loads of people around, ya just gotta ask and network

Outdoor wise buy the walkers guides they tell you about lakes, waterfalls, rivers, castles ruins the lot

Just put an add on gumtree for free & you would be amazed of the locations
people offer you.

Totally works, I had a guy with a mansion compete with a bloody swimming pool hot tub, yeah a 5 meter heated bubbling fucking pool in what looks like a conservatory, he just wanted to watch and see how its all done, as he's a keen filmer himself.

Unfortunatly what he watched was a Pag C6, a NTG-1 and a XM2 get all confused and think its red october most expensive location EVER!

At one point i used to build sets for a shopping channel its something i thought about bringing to the adult industry recently, small warehouse unit 3-4 sets re-built on a 6 month rotation but unfortunately ive not got the capital to get anything started like this. So for the time being it remains un-done like many of my best ideas.
