Uk law re publishing is quite simple.
You don't NEED ID or a model release, though both are good to have so you can PROVE age and agreement to being published, if any disputes arise.
What you have to do is not publish anything obscene, (definition of which changes over time. If you think you might be getting into that area, see a lawyer).
2257 is a US law.
UK Producers always like to comply with 2257 because most third parties won't buy their material without it.

Paul J is right about the definition of obscene changing over time. There currently is a bill going through parliament that will change the definition again. This is due to a case where a boyfriend strangled (accidental or not) his girlfriend during consented breath play.
The current government thinking is that is will be illegal to own or have procession of images that are for ?sexual gratification? involving any type of simulated sex that involves death, any images that cause harm to the genital areas and the anus.
The problem of course is the interpretation of the words ?sexual gratification?. You should be able to find more information about this on the government websites concerning laws and media.

What Androm said.
and stay away from fisting, teeny, urination, stranglulation or any form of asphyxiation and scat.
I think that covers it unless you find something new just bear what you have read thus far in mind.
I should say public places too but as long as its overseas it is fine or you get permission (a bit hard if you are shooting on a tube train in a heavily public area.

Contact the BBFC with your proposed projects & ask them for their views & if they appear to be between the lines they will say, its free & easier than worrying. Wish you luck with your new films, have fun making them.

Fisting? - what's wrong with fisting?
The server's in holland - hey fist as much as you want.
Maybe Terry is just like the government - let's take the 'precautionary principle'.

Nowt wrong with fisting in my mind but the BBFC seem not to like it.
Sometimes I wonder if the rules are made up more to cater tothe staff that have to watch it than the actual law itself.
I dont know why the CPS find fisting obscene. Probbably no bigger a deal than a girl getting pranged by an oversized cock or dildo ...maybe because it is seen as harmful...Who knows.
Terry is not the government on this one Joe. LOL
