I give up... my opinion of a certain so called proffessional model as seriously been dented

I booked her a couple of months ago... only for her to drop me in it and cancell on the eve of the shoot... as she was booked to shoot with another model doing girl girl it totally screwed my shoot up... costing me money !

Well I decided to give the girl a second chance... yep I know mroe fool me Well low and behold I booked her to shoot with the same girl (I think they would look amazing together) agreed to pay her good money... and yes you guessed it she's cancelled again...

Now admitingly the shoot was next Thursday and she cancelled yesterday... so a little under a weeks notice... I am just gutted that the same model as done this now twice...

Now girls I dont want you all flooding me with offers to take her place, it was a very specific shoot and her look is hard to find... I appreciate the offer anyways I guess I am just ranting... cant believe a so called proffessional can mess someone around as much... especially when I jumped to her defence once on here when people were taking pot shots at her... maybe I got that one wrong !

but, i too have been 'messed around' with a pro model recently
i'm a keen amateur and have worked with a few models (who have posted on this forum) with no problems in the past, but this one girl who i really would like to book is just giving me the run around
It hasn't cost me any money, just time but it still is't nice to be made a fool of.

Could you email me privately and tell me who it is so I can avoid her please.

I dont want to name who it was... maybe this should be a blind warning for her and the other models out there who have this careless attitude... especially when they agree shoots...

It made me laugh the second time she cancelled... she wanted me to move the shoot so she could make it... I think the point she missed is she was being hired to shoot with the other girl not the other way round...

The other girl is very reliable "Sasha from Brighton" and is workign with us on the 14th and 15th... she wanted the shoot moved to the 16th or the week after just to fit her plans... what I dont understand is why she had agreed to do the 15th already... in the email very clearly she stated she could do the 15th... I told Sasha she could do the 15th and she would be working with her...

Maybe she is too busy workign for other people... I am sure thats what happened... another job came in and she fancied that more... proberly the same as what happened first time... except she gave me some cock and bull story about moving into a new house and having problems getting into the house blah blah...

The one good thing is she wont get a third chance...

And lots of models complain about new guys or amateurs being unprofessional..

Hey Dont get me wrong I know Photographers can be as bad... I have cancelled two shoots in 7 years... once cause I was ill (4 days notice) and once cause money I was expecting to fund a shoot wasnt goign to turn up...

This model however as given no explaination for this second cancellation... just she can not now do it... after agreeing and confirming it...

I have to say though, the excuses are quite commical... I am sure there is a book that models have that have the excuses in... why dont they just say"got made a better offer" or "was too pissed to get out of bed"

Oh well means more work for someone else I guess... just a shame as I wanted her name associated with this work...

naming and shaming doesnt work. ive been named and shamed on one occassion but some other people rave about how professional and reliable i am. we all have off days. ok some more than others and as much as it angers us - yes ive been let down by every photogrpaher who booked me for 2 weeks on the trot before - i think u just have to suck it.

even the girls i call my best friends i dont recommend as models anymore. i love em but they are too flaky. they may think the same of me!
