I tried Juicy TV box. Who would've thought a small box could work wonders? After trying that out.. it was definately worth it.

I was wondering about getting this - seems a reasonable compromise between coping with Sky's output/DVDs and getting some huge new satelite dish to point somewhere else in europe. and i have pretty fast broadband so looks quite easy to set up for the less technically minded like myself.

quick couple of qs

any comments about picture quality, problems connecting etc at busy times? or is it all "peachy"?

and is there a reasonable turn over of films or does the same material appear quite a lot?

I have one of the boxes myself. The picture quality is very good, but does depend on your internet connection. They recommend you have at least 1.5mb broadband but it will work on 512k as there are three connection settings (so if you have a slow connection you can set the quality lower).

There's loads of content on there across 20 something channels (i haven't counted how many). They have a huge library of movies mostly from America but also Germany, Holland etc. Its not just the same movie looped. I was watching an Angel Long scene on there the other day. I was not wanking .... honest hee hee! My favourite channel is Don't Tell Daddy !grin!

Its really easy to set up. Took me a couple of mins (yes, I set mine up myself). You just plug the scart or AV cables in your tv and then plug the network cable they give you into your router. That's it.

my broadband is supposedly "Up to 10MB" and whilst tests show it often operates at lower levels it sounds like it will be good enough for this service.

just done a speed test. mine is 3mb.
