Xposeart raises the bar

Well I guess something had to give sooner or later.........................
First the BAD news - the prices I've been painting at for all you gorgeous girls are pretty much unsustainable, and have actually gone backwards significantly over the past 3 years. Unfortunately, the price of paints, canvases, varnish, etc. like everything else, are increasing, leaving minimal margin (if any). As a consequence, some of my future attention will now be focussed on more expensive - but still damned sexy - larger pieces, to be promoted and sold via exhibitions, etc.
But the GOOD news.....thanks to some behind the scenes support, we are in the process of lining up various distribution and sales outlets so that any shortfall can potentially be made out of XposeArt prints.
Prices for models I work for via this forum can therefore remain largely unchanged for 2009, in anticipation that permission will be granted for paintings to be published (prints, postcards, limited edition box canvases, etc.) - which must surely create some good publicity for all involved!
As things currently stand I have 3 prospective commissions lined up over the coming months, all with images still awaited to work from. I remain committed to delivering these at the prices already quoted, and I hope the girls involved (you know who you are) will be happy to work with me on the basis of the above arrangement - although your wishes will be respected if this is not the case. Where you work with me, we can also look at some form of profit share, backed by additional promotion via your own website if desired, so that if your reproduced image sells well, then you'll pay EVEN LESS for your ORIGINAL painting in real terms !!! Not only that, we will also be able to offer facilities for you to sell your own photos via our virtual sales office.
There are a couple of pieces out there with models already that I'm particularly proud of, that I'd love to publish as prints, and I'll be in touch with the girls involved shortly to seek their permissions.
All those I've done work for - and in particular KazB and Vicki P who've both been brilliant supporters of XposeArt - I hope will know me well enough to wish me well with this slight change of direction.
I'm sure this post may still prompt some lively debate, so I'll light the fuse and sit back..........!nervous! !!!
Thanks for reading.
