Hello all,

We are making a documentary on the UK adult film industry, working alongside Bruce Barnard, the author of, ?Flesh Trade: Tales from the UK Sexual Underground?, and are currently looking for participants, who have positive stories about their work in the sex trade, to take part.

Our aim is to produce a well-researched and non-biased documentary that concentrates on the positive aspects and experiences of people currently working in the UK adult film industry. We hope that this documentary can act as an accurate and informative insight into the world of adult film stars, producers and directors, when on and off the screen. The motivation behind our idea for a positive ?pro porn? documentary comes from the vast amount of negative and critical films that have been produced over the years regarding the global adult film industry, and furthermore the lack of a documentary solely based on the UK industry.

We are currently looking for a female actress, model or director who enjoys her work and would be willing to be interviewed on camera for the documentary. We will be staying in London to film for two weeks between the 23rd March to the 6th April. If you are interested we need to be contacted immediately. During our shoot In London we'd need to spend a couple of hours with you over a couple of days to film during work and In your usual social situations. This will only be a discreet 2-man crew. We really want to create a genuine feel for what it is like to work in the adult film industry.

This documentary is a pilot for a Channel 4 series with a late night scheduling slot. We believe this documentary could be a great opportunity for any actress, model or director who would like to gain publicity. We are happy to talk to you and discuss the other collaborators on the film, at the moment they are all male which is why we are urgently looking for a woman to participate.

If you are interested, or would like any further information about the project, feel free to contact us at:
hard.drive.pro@live.co.uk

We will be happy to speak to anyone who is interested over the phone once contact has been initiated.

Thank you,
James O?Flynn and Toby Dashwod

But then you would say that wouldn't you !

If you said it was a program "to show the sordid site of the industry where it destroys lives" I doubt you would get many takers.

btw I dont "work" in the industry, just have a outside facination with it.

(My first quote above comes from Mandy Rice Davies who was "famous" for the Profumo affair in the 1960s. During the trial, when the prosecuting counsel pointed out that Lord Astor denied an affair or having even met her, she replied, "Well, he would say that, wouldn't he?")

All documentaries are 'biased'.

The illusion that they aren't is another myth 'documentary makers' wish to push.

I don't know how you define 'well researched'.

The myth that it's all hunky dory is another myth. If you have an 'angle' then you are not 'unbiased'.

To be fair, (To Me at least) the name "Bruce Barnard" does hold some weight...

Much more than the normal 'We are making a documentary...' scenarios...

We have contacted Terry Stephens as Bruce worked closely with him when writing his book, we are currently waiting to hear back.
