hi guys and girls need some advise of u good people pls ,i did a shoot the other week and i never signed a model release and just noticed it has popped up on the web , where do i stand all advice is welcome .
have a few dates left in may and june if anyone is interested in a shoot with me pls get in touch

Thats not strictly true. You can get their details and host and persue it that way. If you want help on that drop me full details on axxxfg@yahoo.co.uk

Any host that is paid good money (i.e. a budget host will cave), will ask you prove ownership before they act, or that wrong has been done.

As the photographer took the image, they assume ownership under UK Law, you can argue all you want but it will be a waste of time, taking such a case to court will foot you a 5 figure sum (?xx,xxx).

This is why I tell models to get a release that controls the use of the images, almost like a reverse model release but states what both parties can and can't do with the images.

There maybe a case if they was taken in your home (privacy and all that) and elsewhere but its almost certainly a lost cause.

Can't help on the model release issue ( I always get one signed), but fuck do I love that photo of Holly!

I agree with Cenobitez - a model release is just a private contract between model and producer/photographer. Even without one the photographer still owns the copyright to the pics and a contract can still be inferred by the fact you took the money.

Now, if you had said specifically at the time you didn't want the pics published, you might have a case - but it would cost you a lot of money to prove.

Why not just call him and say you are not a happy bunny and please take the pics off?

I cant believe you people on here are implying Holly has no say over images being used.

Im sorry but although a photographer automatically owns copyright that does not mean he has the right to publish/sell images taken in private locations (ie not in public).

On the other hand she hasnt contacted me re: my 1st post , to get more info so i doubt she is that worried
