I just got back from a meeting with a business advisor and they said I'm on to something.
I was however told to go out and do some more research (yeah I know, online porn research...priceless).
To that end, what are your thoughts on the type of content I should aim to produce?
I am happy to enter into most genres but I was thinking more of an amateur feel. Girl next door and that type of thing.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

On a more serious note... How much do people still pay for porn. I feel this is more relevant than the actual type of porn produced because it's different strokes for different blokes.
With the large number of freely downloadable 20-30 second clips available which can be lined up in a media player and viewed, do a large number of people still fork out for entire movies?

I can imagine that, unfortunatly, a bigger hook would be needed, like multi angle or 3D/augmented reality porn.

I can assure you people still pay for porn. Sales go up and down a bit, but I've just had my best week for a couple of years ( famous last words - it will probably be crap this week !hmmm!)

I would advise you to find a niche that you like and understand and then stick to it - but you've got an awful lot of work to do and several tens of thousands to spend.

theres nothing new about amateur and girl next door type stuff, infact the market is flooded with it especially on the free porn sites such as youporn etc.
Come up with a cool theme or niche and shoot content based around that.

Holly's hit the nail on the head... you're going to have to come up with your own niche to stand any chance of it working.

There are literally 1000s of amateur girl next door sites, so you'd have do it in a totally new & unique way.

People like normal down to earth porn, if its too glamerous the everyday person can't imagine themselves in that space in time whereas no frills stuff always works. Go to YouPorn & see the most popular downloads & it will give you an idea to what is being watched etc. don't ever take advice from flash in the pan companies & make sure they have had a good 5yrs in the business first.
