Australia

Here are my thoughts and please feel free to shoot me down....

I am looking at getting a well known and published model over to Australia, or a model happy to do anything for 2 - 3 weeks along the following lines:

Happy to pay a % of the travel (too many models let you down so askng some commitment)
Will have a number of bookings arranged depending on level and time in Australia

I don't see that the model will make $1000s but will get a free holiday to Australia and time to enjoy the upcoming summer (as it is getting cold in the UK - not that it is ever hot), make some $$ and get a tan

Am I crazy to think this might work?

Looking forward to all your thoughts

K

It's nowhere near a "free holiday to Australia" though is it, since you're only offering to pay a percentage of the travel cost, and give no idea whether the income from shoots is likely to even cover the cost of 2-3 weeks of accomodation?

As I understand it the Australian modeling scene is small, and requires a lot of travel.

Depending on what levels you need covered and where you're based though, I may be able to suggest some interested models.

I would offer to pay for the flight, but have been let down in the past

As for the scene - it is very different to the UK scene, but "a foreign model" is in demand, especailly a UK model - don't asky why.

In respnse, I know a number of TOGS in Sydney and Melbourne who would be interested to shoot with any model who comes out to Australia - but they have also been promised and let down before.

So yes there is travel, but it is cheap between cities and I am more interested to find someone who is genuinely interested in maknog a commitment and then working from there.

I believe this can work, but as with everything the first time is always the hardest....

As for accomodation, that can aslo be covered or organised etc

As I said I am more interested in talking to someone who would look at this and be able to then work a deal that works for all.
