EPOCH are making me see red and CCBill have always been a pain.

Is there anyone else reliable and organized?

There are lots of processors. Spain hold a few, but they normally like to charge a small set up fee, or a large set up fee but then are reasonably on percentages monthly.

Why not stick to ccbill. They have never been a pain for me, always online if you need any help with anything.

If you think you're having trouble with these 2, wait until you start using some smaller, lesser known biller who'll collapse without warning and do a runner with your money and members

Have you not talked to your reps and got things resolved?

I'd also try webmaster forums rather than these surfer forums.

Epoch and CCBill are the best in the business, if they're making you jump through hoops then there's probably a good reason for it.

There are smaller billers like verotel.com or vxsbill.com but I'd research them first as personally I know very little about them

Verotel aren't great and they made a major fuck up with some payments which meant that many webmasters ended up paying Verotel back through no fault of there own. Tickets Club is crap and you need a merchant account to use them fully and get away from Tickets Club.

VSXBill - from a couple of years ago i remember, you need your own merchant account to use them and have to go to Holland to sign the paperwork at the Chamber of Commerce. You need to proccess a min of 50k USD per month with 6 months history as well to get a merchant account.

Theres also SegPay but i hear they are the remains of iBill (who ran off with many webmasters money) and LocalBilling who are good and more bespoke per client but very choosy and selective about which clients they take on.

CommerceGate again pretty much unheard of and any other biller you find not in this list are best avoided.

Reliable billers are slim pickings. Remember the customer as well. I for one would never join any site not in the above list, plus CCBill/Epoch.

Not sure what your problems is with Epoch or CCBill but they are both the best on the net and both can be contacted by either email or phone 24/7.

If you don't want to use them i give up now as i would not trust any other processor on the net and know of people who have lost all there money with smaller processers who have either gone bust or done a runner.

To be honest CCBill is your best bet.

I agree. Here's an example of how the smaller/less well known billers work.

Merchants accounts are genuinely pretty safe. I used to have one and it involved a lot of paperwork, stats and figures and upfront fees.
There was another 3rd party biller called Paymonde (or prior MyVirtualCard) who i found out used exactly the same bank as me. It turns out once you have a merchant account then you can in theory become a 'biller' issuing sub accounts.

If i then become a biller, everyone else who then uses my system can process on my merchant account. This is where the problems start.

With a 1% chargeback ratio, those accounts who don't monitor fraudulent sales can bring the entire thing tumbling down leading to the termination of the merchant account - and everyones money with it, hence why many smaller billers suddenly go out of business and take your money. The bank will not pay out due to excess chargebacks/credits etc.

Avoid smaller billers at all cost.

You have a good point there Paul about smaller companies but unfortunately I'm getting really messed about by EPOCH and years ago when I was with CCBill they messed me about so badly I vowed never to return. I think they know that there are few companies like them around so they tend to get away with murder. The other company I am involved in (not porn) does a lot of trade (and I mean a lot) so we use paypal (I hate PP but it's not my sole decision) anyway they don't fuck us about because of the numbers involved on a very regular basis. (Note - I'm not shining my arse here - for the record... I'm only involved with this other company in a small way, I'm just using it as an example).
Anyway, small companies get bent-over all the time and I must have worked my way to the front of EPOCH's shafting queue!

Also, the reason I'm using this forum is that one good thing about this place is that (as far as webmasters are concerned) the people who respond tend to be content producers a lot of the time. These are people who understand where I'm coming from. Webmaster forums tend to be full of tech-heads who think I'm a wanker for not being able to code xml, perl or who have difficulty two-tier reselling programs that need to be manually migrated... whatever all that means.
Personally I feel the same about anyone in this business who can't calculate a lens's sweet-spot in their head or memorize depth-of-field tables... but I keep that to myself and just offer answers to questions wherever I can.
(Note... this is my feeble attempt at humour, 9:38pm on a Monday night when I'm so pissed-off I could spit!)

It's not the hoops mate though. It's the bug on EPOCH's system which means they have calculated their percentage incorrectly for months. They know this, have agreed to it and apologized... but can I get anyone to reply to emails about a fucking refund????????
