Community site coder needed.

I have had an idea for an alternative to Facebook for about a year now - I just don't have the technology to make it.
And still nobody has come up with the idea themselves so I think it's still do-able.
Anyone who can produce a 'community' site - get in touch.

Have you checked out
http://www.kickapps.com?
If it is something that needs to be a custom build take a look at
http://www.scriptlance.com - i have had awesome apps developed in the past by programmers on here. You just need a strong brief.

Ta, I'll have a look there although could do with someone to come on board and do this bit for me/us.

Hey thanks Petee99.
I have an angle that has not been fully developed by others as far as I know.
I'm sure I'm not leading the charge here on this community-site thingy but considering the fact that the internet allows good ideas to develop regardless of huge financial input I think it worth while considering.
The mistake that most people make is that you somehow need a huge pot-o-cash to do anything... so many newbie posts on here are about how much cash is needed to do this or that and very little consideration if any, is given to talent.
A crap idea with a load of money behind it will not fool anyone and that's why so many big schemes fail - cash is used as an alternative to hard graft.
At the moment I'm working on the help files for some software that does some of what I would need and I may try starting small with just that.

One other thing, since a site like this can be left to its own devices and has user-driven-content as it were, once it's up and running there's not a lot left to do (beyond pay for bandwidth) so the word 'success' is definitely a relative thing here.
I'd be happy just to see it running.
