Relationships and the Industry?

Hi Everybody,

Just wondered if I could get the opinion of the forum...

I have been offered a shoot soon in the New year and after a few mails back and forth, the Producer has come up with a request that I have never been asked before - basically he is saying that because I am married he will need to see not only current certs for myself, but he is asking to see certs for my husband to cover the same period !!!!!!! - I suppose my question is this, has anybody else been asked to provide certs for their partner ?? My husband does not 'perform' in the industry and i would have thought that as long as my certs are current/and clear , then this is a bit of strange request.

As always the opinions of the members of the forum would be appreciated

Yes they are valid. Ask OEJ - One Eyed jack as he shoots a lot of RealCouples - many not in the business. I'm not up on the current situation regarding couples performing but would shoot couples as my business partner myson did with Britannia Barnes and her other half without certs

They both only ever worked together.

So if a performer girl were not married he'd want to see Certs from all the guys in the pub last Friday night ?

Even in the USA - where broadcast standards for Certs and ID's are the highest in the world, nobody asks for this.

Exactly Hiwatt. Good point. Would be nice if we could but not practical.

Also Storm I am sorry I misinterpreted your first post. A producer cannot ask resonably for all certs from everyone you have ever had sex with off camera espeically when it is one guy who is your regualar partner.

Agreed, Storm, it's completely daft, if what you say is correct. The possible permutations of this madness, if it were to be extrapolated are boundless. Bizarrely, he makes the assumption that by merely being "Married" that you could not possibly have had sexual contact with someone else other than your husband, at any point in the last 3 months(HIV incubation period) By this producers standards, (once he'd clicked about my outlandish theory that, "being married doesn't guarantee 100% faithfullness") you would be required to drag anyone, male or female, with whom you'd had a sexual contact with at any point in recent times to a clinic and have them all tested and then present him with all the tests at which point he could say, "How do I know you didn't miss one out?".....................or you could just say" NO" I don't want to work for you LOL!
