Checking people are who they say they are

I get told all sorts of stories by those that lack the wit to pull a fast one but every now & then I get one that makes me pause for thought.
I received a call on Thursday & the topics freaked me out a little, I don't mean it in an offense way just not comfortable with it.
Anyway I've no ill will towards them but just want to check if they were who they said they were.
I know the name the person used posts regularly on here so if it was you that called me talking about an up coming event on the 29th could you email me to reassure me it's not someone else up to no good. I want an email not a call as I want to be able to forward it on to the people mentioned in the call to verify what you say.
By the way the only date I've work left on this
month is the 26th & I'm fully certed until 6th of April. I deal with all bookings directly myself
