The UK Sexual Underground is a pitch for a series of 25 minute documentaries which explore (not exploit) the UK adult industry.

Episode 1: Pornography (pilot) is out now and includes exclusive interviews from actor/ director Terry Stephens (aka One Eyed Jack), actress Faye Rampton (aka Rampant Rampton), gay director Christian Marshall and David Hyman from the British Board of Film Classification.

It's very good, I think. Quite informative, for those not in the know.

Bruce Barnard puts me instantly in mind of Barry Shitpeas from Charlie Brooker's Newswipe, while sitting Faye and Terry in the same place makes the episode seem a bit less diverse (though I realise it makes the point that they live together).

The vocoder voice intros sound a bit gimmicky.

Apart from that, very commendable.

It probably wouldn't get aired on TV, as they always want "balancing opinions" saying that everybody has had a terrible time, which is supposedly much more compelling.

Whens the next part? I really enjoyed that, its nice to just see porn being normal for a change. I tell you what though im really in the mood to go and make some first rate porn, its been a while since ive felt this inspire - projects like this are definatly good for the future both in and out of the industry, good look getting this out there.

Im off to push some boundries xx

Oh and also - too much emphasis on shots of stacks of VHS tapes, and the sound of a dialup modem, which makes it look a bit as if it was shot ten years ago
