Porn Production and 'Regular' employment?

Post by mybeautifultease »

If your working a 'regular' 9-to-5 job to finance your porn ambitions and fund the creation of smut content.

I wonder where you would stand if your employers were to discover this 'sideline' and decided to act badly and in a prejudicial manner?

Would you think it should be grounds for dismissal? Would you have a good case to put forward for unfair dismissal? Would it even be worth taking the fight on?

I'd be happy to hear your thoughts on this :)

Kind Regards
Ben

Email me if you genuinely want to know

I have been through exactly this scenario in 2007 when I start 'modelling' and it wasn't pleasant

Yes i lost my job with social services years back & get treated as a leeper on a regular basis by the mainstream apart from the police who themselves are hated just as much, once you are in the adult industry there is no going back for most so think hard first & if you do make the best of it.
95% of our friends are in the film, swinging & escort industries as they are at ease with our lifestyle as we are with theirs, a lot of people we know work for themselves because of the flack they had recieved in their regular jobs.

I can remember Alicia who use to work in the head offices of a well known Construction company had to quit after her pics were published in a top shelf mag, and as far as i know she never did hardcore, this is a pic i took of her that was never published.

Thats discimination, they have no legal right sack you for doing this job which is legal but frowned upon by some people, so there is no way they should be able sack you or screw you over it, it will be intresting when it happens to someone in a high flying good job that does porn on side because they want to, and they get in this situation as there is no way it should be a sackable offence, its not like were murderers or rapists!

I can assure you Big J, having seen 3 different solicitors, that any clever and devious HR individual worth his/her salt can fabricate a way to dismiss you and no legal person will touch it for an unfair dismissal case

Very interesting thread!

As someone who has a full time job and is also doing party work & looking to do modelling, there's some very useful info here! I've managed to combine everything so far without a problem but i suppose i just need to be as careful as possible in future
