Several models I have had booked-in for a series of shoots in order to produce a members-site for them have backed-out at the last minute.
Fair do's on that - people can do what they like... however...
I have found out that some individual (or group) who couldn't even tell you what I looked like, nevermind anything else is/are telling huuuge porkies about me in order to do nothing more chivalrous than POACH the models!

Two of my current models have told me of emails and conversations where they have been warned-off me.
Needless to say, these are models who now know me and know exactly what I'm like and have made it clear to all that they are going NOWHERE!

Basically I would appreciate advice from anyone who has had this happen to them, (yep it's rife in this industry so form a queue), but basically I am very displeased to say the least and even discussing it with friends and co-workers just makes my blood boil. So I'd appreciate anything that might help me keep this in perspective.

Its unfortunate but it comes with the territory.

The only real deterrent is to be known by enough models and people in the biz who know other people so when they hear shit talking like this they will merely just ignore it.

The biggest bitches in this business are some of the blokes in it and there will be more shit talking around than ever from the disgruntled, jealous bitter few who cant understand why wanker x is more successful than them when his stuff is shit etc.

Its also a well known tactic to try and get pretty girls to stay away from the competition. You might notice for awhile people were locking girls into stupid contracts where the girls were not being remunerated enough to warrant honoring it.

Welcome to business in general. You have succesfully illustrated why i think being in business in general (not just porn) is a daily war

No. there is nothing you can do about it unless it is really malicious and you have proof. Im sure when it comes to things like this models are not even interested in getting involved

So the only option you have is to confgront that person with the evidence or just leave it alone.

I would opt for the latter as the ofrmer is too time consuming and a distraction from getting on with business.

What I can say however is, that knowing you personally, I would be happy to let any model know that you're a right decent guy.

If possible, try to get the girls in question to forward said texts and emails to you.

As a model the most helpful thing you can do is set up a page say on AIR (sorry if you already have one) and get lots and lots of feeback from known models and then when you go to book girls always link to this inviting them to read said feeback from other girls they will have heard from. I always try and check things like this an there are certain girls even a few i dont know whos opinion i will take as gospel.

This job is all about reputation and im sorry someone is fucking about with yours but you seem to be going about this in the best possible way - call this persons bluff. Get all the rumors out in the open and prove they are lies. Very annoying and time consuming I know but its probably better than letting things fester. x
