If you see an opportunity DO NOT ask the producer to contact you. They probably won't.

Unless we know for absolutely certain the guy is so great we would trip over ourselves runniong to the phone to book him.
Guys who say they are great and not are a dime a dozen. Unfortunately its the rest of the shoot that costs a lot so chance money on an unproven guy?
