Hey Guys

Wow I love logging on and waking up to a million HIV messages :(

OK So I wanted to clarify after calling LA the person contracted was a male from Gay Porn, New to Straight porn who has apparently contracted 2 people who have been informed and stopped performing - Dont you just wish we had systems like AIM in the UK who actually gave a fuck about peoples health!!! So as for people in the UK who work in America they would have been informed if they had any contact with the performers. As AIM have a trail of all performers and their history.

Its a very horrid thing it has happened and yes I agree some people feel the need to fuck left right and centre without protection. I certainly am not one of those people as my health is vital to me not to mention the amount of money we all know we miss out on by having to take time off. And yes its very unfortunate that some people suffer from other peoples actions but as we are all such a close knit community here in the Adult Industry we should do our best to be careful and if anything is contracted to inform everyone you have worked with.

I personally get tested every week, Extreme? Yes! But the testing clinic is a 5minute drive from me and then I always am on top of any possible problems.

Im sorry to read that some LA Productions have stopped filming and that some great UK Performers have decided to stop filming also, all due to somebodies lack of care.

I just wanted to clarify what I actually knew. The website for AIM is http://www.aim-med.org and the contact number is (818) 981-5681 if anybody wishes to contact them, those who have been to LA know that its a very small clinic with the same staff who are more than happy to help with anything at all, they really are great and put the UK Systems to shame....

I just wanted to have my little rant, you know how I get :)

PS condoms are free from the Clinic for those if you who don't get enough sex at work....

Well, everyone should take great care when doing these porn scenes.
Everyone should get tested every week.

Kerry

There has been a fight to get an AIM style system in the UK but performers and some producers did not want it because of price.....but if their life is not worth a small amount I say get out of the industry.

It is a business, you are a business, treat it and you as it I say to them.

Hey Everyone

I have added this on another post to, but thought I'd repeat it!!
So I have just returned back from America filming for my Whitezilla line, and just before I came home this HIV news came to light, firstly my thoughts are with anyone who is affected in this whole thing! As soon as I found out I went to get tested at AIM and very grateful to say i got a negative result, but it was a scary time after all my scenes to hear of this, I'm now back in the UK with Fresh Clean Certs tested at AIM which use DNA testing for HIV to get an immediate response, I felt it was my duty to write on here for fellow performers to know that this issue is being taken very seriously by myself and everyone else who has been working abroad.
I urge anyone who has recently been working abroad to get re-tested regardless of when it expires!!!!

We as performers choose to take the risks, HOWEVER we all owe each other the right to be safe at work!!
DONT BE A FOOL, WRAP YOUR TOOL!!!!!!

I totally agree with you Danny but it seems there are a small bunch of people at any one time who flout the rules so the risk is even bigger than it has ever been because there is lack of transparency.

Especially since there is no system in place for an effective quaranting in the event of an outbreak.

People wont bother to get tested because the cost is prohibitive or simply cant be arsed for the effort it takes.

Sorry to be negative but Ive heard all the reasons it wont succeed the fitsty time round and it was very tiring then being supported by everyone and then very few when it came to time to make the diference and sign on the dotted line of change.
