Do you mean MiniDV rather than DV?

Just play them on whatever you shot them on, into a computer (a high-capacity job though), or a hardware DVD recorder (fractional loss of quality), or another video tape recorder (including a Mini DV camcorder with video input).

As long as it's not shot NTSC or HiDef, I could do any of those for you.

I have a camera that will play it as long as you weren't shooting NTSC or HiDef (also a rare MiniDV/SuperVHS dual deck that hasn't been switched on for a couple of years), as do many people still.

You just need to borrow two miniDV cameras one of which must be have DV input enabled and connect then with a small 4pin dv/firewire/IEEE1394 cable.

Set the one with DV in to playback mode then select ' record from dv input ' mode, which is usually only enabled with the remote control.

Set the second to play mode and wait for them to connect which can take a few minutes.
Once connected record on recording machine may start both otherwise start tape in playing one then record on the recording one.

I can do for you FOC if you supply blanks but assuming you are in Kent tapes would have to be posted to me.

Yep - but the vast majority of camcorders don't have Firewire In, and his whole point is to be able to copy the tapes BEFORE having to send them anywhere in the post :-)

I still have all my shoots on miniDV, in fact I transfer all my mpeg cameras onto tape - I have 2 both with FW in. I'm probably the only one in the world who does! lol! so if you want help email me - i'll do it for free as long as you give me blank tapes
