Hi everyone,

Does anyone cam for and if so, did you have problems downloading and then configuring their encoder to start camming?
I'm having real problems and have never experienced such problems elsewhere. I cam for Adult Work and and have had no problems getting set up.
I would have given up on streamate by now but been told that it's the best site for earning serious money.
Streamate's customer service/support isn't great as they don't respond to emails speedily and they have no phone support as imlive.com does.
I'd really appreciate any info/advice re streamate.

I tried but I'm not really a fan of sites where you have to cam for free as I find they are full of people looking just to watch for free and also the commission charged by streamate is absolutely ridiculous. I've tried a few other sites but have stuck with AW since I first started with them in 2006 as its the only site I have worked for where there are no chargebacks, good customer service, by far the best commission and the guys using the site are actually there to pay because that's the kinda site it is.

Just my opinion though. Maybe streamate works well for some people. Its just not for me.

Thanks very much for that.
I also don't like to work on sites where cammers have to cam for free and I also prefer Adult Work for the reasons you state.
However, it seems that most of the bigger sites with the most traffic require cammers to cam for free until a member is persuaded to go into the paying/private chat area.
I've heard from a variety of sources that Streamate has the most traffic and therefore the best earning potential but that's no good for me at the moment, as I still can't figure how to do the required tech stuff so I can actually start camming!
I also cam on imlive.com which I like as after doing a required 120 hours in free chat, a cammer can opt to only do private ie paid cam work, which is what I'll be doing as soon as I complete my 120 hrs - I've got 75 or so hours to go!
Which other sites are private chat only ie with no free chat/cam requirement? I'd really appreciated it you or anyone else would let me know.

Streamate PAY about 30% commission TO the performer not the other way round!! Adultwork TAKE commission of about 30% FROM the performer. It seems to sum up Streamate's attitude to the talent!

I was a reguar imlive.com girl a couple of years ago. Regularly won their celeb porn star top earner award and spent a hell of a lot of time on the site, loved their support system, forums, etc.. The only problem I have with them is the amount of chargebacks. There are users on that site that were doing chargebacks when I was there years ago that are still there now just creating new IDs. If imlive would put IP bans in place for people who chargeback then the site would be excellent but I do not like working hard on cam doing shows and then notice $100s missing from my paycheque because of chargebacks.

I haven't found any other site that offers the same kind of private chat only stuff that AW does.

I the same as Harmony to be honest, prefer AW for the reasons stated.
I never do free chat so I know the guys who come into cam with me are paying and that suits me fine afterall we are there to make money not give it away for free. I have no patience though with the free chat thing, just drives me up the wall ha ha ha.

Yes there is a problem with charge backs on imlive although I haven't as yet had the unfortunate experience.
Cbs are a frequent topic of discussion on imlive's host forums and I am going to go on their forum today or as soon as possible, and propose your suggestion of blocking the IP addresses of all those who do cbs.
I'll let you know how customer service and other cammers/hosts respond.
Your right and it's frequently noted that members who've been blocked for cbs or other reasons can then just change their profile.
I have noticed this as on sessions I've blocked someone only to find the same jerk is back in my chat room with a different profile, and they've even admitted that they've just changed their profile!
