Hi, I am a hair stylist looking to move out of a salon environment and try to forge a career in media hairdressing, working on film shoots, tv, promos etc.
Do stars in adult movies have hair stylists on set as I imagine the hair gets a little messy during the shoot?
Also in order to progress and to build a portfolio of work would anyone give me some unpaid work styling hair on a shoot? I can provide examples of my work.

Let me end by stating i am not a dirty old man trying to get on a porn shoot to have a cheap frill, or someone looking to become a porn star. I am a 32 year old hairdresser happy to stay well away from the filming. Just want to try something new after 16 years in the salon.

Anyone willing to give me some unpaid hair styling work? I have managed to get some work with an independant tv producer but anything else would be greatly appreciated to build a session portfolio.

Not many shoots use a hair stylist. Even MUA are quite rare these days. Budgets you know. And piracy. Grrr
