Oh sorry for my ignorance and lack of understanding!! !confused!
This is nothing to do with the porn industry but the fact that someone has been able to send out email, albeit spam, from my Hotmail account to people in my address list!!! !idontbelieveit! I would certainly call that a form of 'hacking'? !rant!
I thought, like Tanya, I would warn people just in case. !thanks!

TOP TIP FOR SECURE PASSWORDS FOR EMAIL

Its down to automatic programs running series of passwords against huge lists of email address... People who have a weak, easy to remember password, such as any word that is in a dictionary, or 'letmein' or '654321' etc, get compromised.

But a hard long random string of letters, is difficult for a computerised program to guess... However, something like 'WIw5IhadcC' is unlikely to be guessed... A long string of random letters, both upper and lower case, with a number in it...

But unfortunately, its also, very hard to remember... Unless... Its a nemonic...

I'll explain. How do I remember 'WIw5IhadcC' ???

Well it stands for the letters of a sentence. The sentence is 'When I was 5 I had a dog called Charlie'

Use something like that, and you will be fine from 'hackers' :)

Sorry for your trouble Tanya and I know the first thing you would do is report to us here that your account has been hacked especially if abusive e-mails have been sent out to your friends and works contacts, but hey I think your rep speaks for itself. If I received a random message like that, the first thing I would think is oh dear Tanya's e-mail must of been hacked.........

Good advice Snow Patrol but yeah I bet for a lot of people, it would be hard to suddenly get into that mode of thinking and set a password like that instead of something they would easy remember like you said and I am one of them lol.

Yep, but YOU get to choose the sentence. Something relevant TO YOU. Then you will not forget it.

It DOES work :)
