Someone told me that you have to have a license to put vids on a site.
Is that true?

If you own the copyright - no...
If you dont own the copyright - yes...

You will need a ATVOD license at ?2900 (this price will vary from next year...maybe cheaper in some cases) a year if your business & uploading are done from the UK.
