Adult promotions idea

I've had an idea for a possible adult biz promotion scheme and I'd be interested to know what the biz insiders think of it.
I came up with the idea after noticing that alot models don't do much to mention/promote the sites they feature on, via social media. I assume that one of the reasons for this is that once they have been paid for their time they don't have a stake in the success or failure of the site beyond the hope of being asked to back to produce more content. My idea is that models should set up a page with affiliate links to all the sites they feature on. That way they would have a better incentive to promote the sites they feature on, as they stand a chance of getting paid if one of their fans joins one of the sites. I have noticed that when Dani Maye, who has a modest 1,500 folowers, tweets my blog, I get a significant surge in hits, in the hour or so afterwards, so I reckon if models did it regularly the traffic they generated would be significant. I have also noticed on FB that fans regularly ask questions like 'have you done any porn?. And finally I'd wager that the traffic from social media would have a higher conversion rate than affiliates who simply post sample galleries and vids around the web. It might even help models get work by allowing producers to see what a model has done.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I'm still very much a novice, so i very well may be missing some hidden aspect of the biz that would make the idea a non starter. It seems so obvious that I'm suprised it's not being done already.
