A friend and I want to do a shoot, or series of shoots, in a derelict but safe London location. Does anyone know of a place that is quiet and hassle free? Thanks.

An 'urban explorer' site for that sort of thing.

Remember you'll be trespassing or worse going into these places, so don't complain to me when you're in prison, being bummed by Mr Big.

Some amazing places on that site Peter. I love the old power station. I hate studio sets where someone's tried to create a scene of, "Urban decay". Everything is always too neat, carefully placed graffitti saying, PC stuff like, "Down with capitalism!" Rather than, "Shit, cunt, bollocks!" and the floors are always too clean. No give me the real thing every time!

Im with you on that one Jim just bring along a broom etc just to get rid of any detritus a model may end up sitting/kneeling on.

Remember Trespass is a civil offense, most land owners are pretty cool if they catch you just dont break anything to gain access which would make it braking an entering.

I was hoping someone might own an old wreck and want to rent it out for a day, but I'll check out the links. Bit gutted to see the local hospital featured on that forum as a building that was usable with permission, because now it is completely emptied and secured with guard dogs etc

I doubt very much that you would have been able to shoot porno there officially, Ned. There's more chance now by slipping a few notes to the security guard. It can work.

as for derelict buildings, my brother runs a sound system which are all based in warehouse raves...ie'squat parties'....so that probably you're best bet?
no security...as they wouldn't break them for parties if they had security...but they usually have shortly after...these generally based ind estates...hackney wick, tottenham hale etc....but will pre warn you...they're proper shit holes!!! xx
