In a country that likes to push its stars to spectacular limits I suspect competition will be measured on who does condom versus those who don't.

Last year we was trying to get a sponsorship deal with Durex's UK head office in Manchester but failed to get enough Pro producers on board but things could change yet, with the UK porn industry dying on its feet it could have been a new niche of safe sex adult films backed by most Western governments around the world.
The Joy of Sex was fetched down to a 18 cert because it was educational even though you still saw erect penises & cum shots, promoting safe sex films would give you more promotional angles in the government eyes because it also sends a message to the viewers that even porn stars need to be careful.
We are using condoms & still selling our films (for 15yrs now) so yes the US film makers will survive & maybe the old wives tale of condom porn don't sell will finally be shown as a poor excuse for producers own preferences.
Imagine how many girls who have changed their levels to solo,g/g & would start doing boy/girl again if the UK made condom only porn, in porn you have to think of the future & condom porn will be our future if we like it or not.
Our niche is mature women not condoms & we have never had a complaint yet from a customer...maybe they are watching the films & not the condoms ??

I would treat this news story with great great caution.....

1. The industry in LA have already agreed to fight the constitutionality
of this vote.
2. It seems to be based on the concept that the industry in LA is unsafe
but based on the number of sex scenes shot there and the size of
the biz v the number of aids problems it could be argued that the
self-governing health of the biz is surprisingly safe !
3. It would come into force in 90 days....and may well get delayed.
4. Los Angeles is made up of a number of cities....what affects
downtown LA (the old city centre) may not affect shoots in West
Hollywood, the San Fernando valley and certainly not outlying areas
where porn is often shot such as Pasadena and parts of the San
Fernando Valley.
5. As to us Europeans...if it becomes a major headache for US based
producers more will either shoot in Europe....or ask european
directors to create their material (yes, call me, folks !).

Lets wait and see !!
