Why are people still buying top shelf mags?

I find it strange that its cheaper to join a web site with far more content or even buy a dvd.
So why do people buy porn mags which are just full of adds and only a few pics.
Saying that, it does seem more fun to buy a mag. It does feel so 'rude' to buy a porn mag.
